One of the first questions I ask my patients is, “Are you taking a multivitamin?” Multivits are a great, easy way to get most of our essential vitamins in daily. It is always best to get vitamins in your diet -however, it can be tough! Easy answer -take a multivitamin a day! Here is some info all about multivits…

hi nova!
i enjoyed your video on multivitamins. what about liquid vitamins? certainly swallowing issues should be relieved, and absorption may be a bit more effective than capsules. any thoughts? thanks. be well.

Hi Tombo! It is good to hear from you again 🙂
You have brought up a very good point! Pills versus liquid vitamins is the topic of much debate nowadays. Proponents of liquid vitamins say that they are more easily absorbed and more “natural”. They claim liquid to be more natural then pills because liquids don’t need all the fillers that are used to create the tablet or capsule. When you read the hub-bub about liquid vitamins, they’d have you believe that it is as natural as a home made fruit/veggie smoothie.
I don’t mean to sound negative about liquid vitamins -it is true that typically liquids are more easily absorbed and that pills and capsules have fillers. However, liquid multivits aren’t all pure -they too must go through a manufacturing process and preservatives are added.
The debate continues! I couldn’t find any studies that directly compare the liquid versus tablet/capsule forms of the multivits.
What do you think? Have you used liquid multivitamins? I have tried chewable vits (I get the nausea with regular vitamin pills) and I have tried the liquid. I must say I have preferred the chewables simply for the taste.
I hope you and yours are doing well. Take care, Nova
